Corneal ulcers are partial loss of corneal surface tissue from the epithelium to the stroma. This study aims to determine the description of corneal ulcer patients at the Eye Clinic SMEC Samarinda. This study used a descriptive observational with a cross sectional method. Total of 214 samples were obtained using total sampling technique with medical records as the instrument. This study found that the majority of corneal ulcer patients occurred at the age of 30-60 years (65.4%). Most of them were male (71.03%). Most worked as labourers or farmers (32.7%). Most occurred unilaterally (97.2%). Most experienced visual acuity in category 4 (<1/60) (35.5%) with no improvement in visual acuity (50%). The average length of treatment was 61 days ±168.19. Most of them did not perform surgery (78.97%). The most common surgery performed was Amniotic Membrane Transplant (62.7%). Most of the patients had complications (65.9%) with corneal scar being the most common complication (30.4%).
